“When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.” James 4:3
Dearly beloved in Christ, there are many other reasons why we do not receive answers to certain prayers, some of which are: praying outside God’s will, wrong timing, etc. But one obvious reason why our prayers are not answered is because we petition God with wrong and selfish motives. During prayer, we must allow the Holy Spirit assist us weigh our motives as we present our requests to God.
