AVOID UNGODLY CONVERSATION
“Avoid godless chatter, because those who indulge in it will become more and more ungodly.”
2 Timothy 2:16
Dearly beloved in the Lord, the believer is expected to be on guard against evil conversation which corrupts the soul of humankind. No matter our level of spirituality, we must not get involved in ungodly conversations, the reason being that irrelevant or fruitless speech has the power to wreck the faith of the Christian. As people belonging to God’s covenant family, we must consciously decide to entertain Christ centered conversations to make us better Christians.
