“Before a downfall the heart is haughty, but humility comes before honor.”
Proverbs 18:12
Beloved in the Lord, as God’s people, we must guard our lives against the spirit of pride, the reason being that the downfall of many great men and women both in Bible days and present time occured when pride entered their hearts. On the other hand, imitating Christ’s humility has also led many people to an exalted position in life. Let us therefore pray for the grace to be humble always.
