REVENGE IS UNCHRISTIAN
“Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult. On the contrary, repay evil with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing.”
1 Peter 3:9
Dearly beloved in Christ, it is unchristian to combat evil with evil, the reason being that God demonstrated his love for us by sending Christ into the world to die for our many sins. His nature is to forgive and he expects his followers to do same. Therefore, he forbids us to seek revenge, but rather forgive our offenders and repay evil with blessings.
